US intelligence agencies believe that an executive operating within the circle of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is serving as an informant for China. Citing a report from The New York Times, the individual identified is Alice Huang, also known as Huang Le, who leads Megaspeed, a data center operator based in Singapore. US authorities reportedly discovered through monitoring activities that she passes information to Beijing and maintains close ties with Jensen Huang.

President Trump was briefed on these findings approximately one year ago but took no action, likely to avoid disrupting Nvidia's chip sales or further straining trade relations with China. At the time of the briefing, officials believed that Jensen Huang was unaware of the situation and consequently did not warn him.

The US government suspects that Megaspeed is facilitating China's access to Nvidia chips. Between June 2024 and February 2026, a Malaysian sister company purchased at least $4.8 billion worth of AI hardware containing Nvidia chips. In response to the allegations, an Nvidia spokesperson stated that meeting with customers is part of a CEO's job and affirmed that Megaspeed does not receive sensitive information. Meanwhile, Megaspeed has announced an internal investigation into the matter.

A spokesperson for the Chinese embassy dismissed the accusations as groundless smears and slanders.
